Checking GEM120CT Readings

Checking GEM120CT Readings

Overview

After installation, verify that the GEM120CT is reading correctly by comparing inverter data.

Verification Steps

  1. Switch off all PV generation (turn off PV breakers or disable via web portal).

  2. In the GivEnergy Portal, navigate to:

    Inverter → Remote Settings → Control → On/Off State → “Off / Auto Off”.

  3. Return to the Data tab and check readings:

Expected Sign

Description

PAC

Negative (–)

Indicates import from grid

Load Power

Positive (+)

Indicates supply to load

If both values are equal in magnitude but opposite in sign, the CT orientation is correct.

Troubleshooting
