Router Compatibility Checklist
Before attempting to connect or reconnect your inverter to the internet, confirm the following with your internet provider:
- Enable both 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels and ensure they are split.
- If your router cannot split channels, request a Guest 2.4GHz network be created.
- Security Mode: WPA2-PSK (WPA3 is not supported).
- Encryption: AES.
- 2.4GHz Only: GivEnergy dongles cannot connect to 5GHz networks.
- Port: 7654 must be open for communication.
- Ubiquiti Routers: Disable PMF (Protected Management Frames) in the router UI.
- Signal Strength: RSSI ≥70% recommended for stable connections (minimum 60%).
