Why are my app and portal readings different?

Why are my app and portal readings different?

It’s normal to see slight differences between readings in the app, portal, and your home meter. This is due to how data is collected and transmitted.

  • App/portal readings are calculated by the inverter.

  • They rely on a stable internet connection — gaps or errors can occur if Wi-Fi is weak.

  • The EM115 clamp meter provides more accurate readings (98%).

  • Accuracy can be reduced if the clamp is not fitted correctly, or if the cable was cut during installation.

Quick check:

  1. When your battery is low and you’re drawing from the grid, switch on a kettle.

  2. Compare the usage shown in the portal with your home meter.

  3. If there’s a large difference, the clamp may need to be checked.

When to Contact Support:

If readings differ significantly or consistently over time.
