How do I update my inverter firmware locally?
Updating inverter firmware ensures your system runs with the latest features and fixes. The process depends on which generation inverter you have.
Gen 1:

Remove dongle from inverter.

Plug into laptop, delete all files except MSN.txt.

Copy new firmware file to dongle.

Insert dongle back into inverter USB port.
Gen 2:

Isolate DC and AC.
-
Upload firmware to a blank USB.

Plug into inverter USB port.

Restore power — inverter beeps to confirm update.
-
Remove USB, restore DIP switches.
Gen 3:
-
Isolate DC and AC.
-
Upload firmware to USB.
-
Plug into inverter, power on DC only.
-
Wait for beeps, remove USB, restore DIP switches.

Restore AC and DC.
