Self-consuming more of your solar energy

Your battery allows you to use more of the energy your solar panels generate, reducing how much you export to the grid.

  • Solar power will first cover your home’s needs.

  • Any surplus is stored in your battery.

  • When the sun goes down, your battery discharges to cover home usage.

This increases your self-consumption rate — the amount of your own solar you actually use.

Troubleshooting:

  • If your battery is not charging from solar, check that Eco Mode is enabled and that your solar panels are producing.

When to Contact Support:

If your solar generation is healthy but your battery never charges from it.
