How do I set up Smart Tariff automation?

Smart Tariff allows your GivEnergy system to automatically adjust charging and discharging based on your energy tariff.

  1. Log into the GivEnergy portal.

  2. Go to Dashboard → Smart Tariff.

  3. Select your energy provider and enter tariff details.

  4. Save your settings.

  5. Your system will now optimise charging and discharging to match your tariff.

Tips:

  • Automations work best with time-of-use or dynamic tariffs.

  • You can still override settings manually via the app.

Troubleshooting:

  • If your battery behaviour seems unusual, check if a Smart Tariff automation is active.

  • You can disable automations at any time from Tariff Automation.
