Do I need a generation meter with my GivEnergy system?
Your GivEnergy system comes with monitoring, but in some cases you may still need a separate generation meter.
-
The ID1/EM115 meters in your system are used for monitoring import/export.
-
They are not certified generation meters for certain schemes (like FiT or MCS).
-
For billing or compliance, an external EMlite generation meter may be required.
Tip:
Always check with your installer, MCS, or your DNO about generation meter requirements.
When to Contact Support:
If you’re unsure whether you need an additional meter for compliance.
